Father Aiden Troy of Holy Cross Church negotiates with police prior to the Orange evening march. Holy Cross Girls School captured world attention in Sept 2001. Small girls were attacked by loyalist neighbors for a period of several weeks. The school is located in a loyalist neighborhood just north of Ardoyne. The BBC and other media filmed the fights which took place daily between the loyalists and the girls and their parent escorts. . Some were plyed with baggies full of urine.
