We got paint attacks on the houses and the cars and the windows were all smashed and everything. The ones from Newington, they come over to help us clean up. And the same for Newington, when they were attacked with the paint bombs and that, we were over, you know. "Do you want me to take the kids over to my house the night so they can get a bit of sleep? Do you want to come over?" like that. If you ever had any big board sheeting, or ply board two-by-two sheeting, you know, to protect the windows, because whenever they was smashing the windows. They would throw petrol bombs into the windows that were opened. You needed some sort of protection. |
